During regular snowfalls of less than approximately 10 cm, routes are typically completed within about 8 hours after the snowfall ends, although timing can vary based on road conditions, traffic and the storm itself
For heavier storms of approximately 10 cm or more, snow removal may be completed in multiple visits. The first visit focuses on providing access to properties as quickly as possible, which means some detailed clearing may be postponed. After the crews' required rest period, they may return for a second visit to complete the remaining work.
Your snow removal plan can be set up to cover selected areas of your property, including your driveway, sidewalk, pathway to the front door and specified access routes such as a path through a side gate. Additional areas or special instructions can also be discussed when arranging your service and pricing.
Ice removal is not included with standard snow removal, but customers can choose to have Echoing Green supply and apply ecosalt ice melter as an optional service. Crews typically apply ecosalt during visits, and customers can use the supply left at their property between storms when needed. Ice chipping or breaking is a separate billable service.
Cleared snow is piled in an appropriate location on your property based on the crew's judgement and the available space. During winters with heavy accumulation, snow piles may become larger and can reduce available space around driveways or parking areas. Standard service does not include hauling snow away from the property or relocating existing snow piles.
